Divakaruni is a classic Gadwal cotton in soft grey with a silk border of fresh green pure jari.
The border and pallu are in pure silk attached to the separately woven cotton body of the saree using the 'kuttu' technique.
Doesn't come with a blouse.
These sarees, once the hallmark of Gadwal weaving technique, have become a rarity. It took us four trips and a mammoth effort to find them! Weavers tell us that it is hard to find labour for this specific technique.
