Gomathi - Siddipet Gollabhama, Dubbaka & Muthyampet

Gollabhama sarees are popular world wide for their sheer simplicity, and intricate handmade motifs of 'gollabhama' or milk maids who happily hop around the whole saree. The saree itself has a GI tag to its credit. Traditionally made on white sarees, the weavers are exploring beautiful colours and mesmerizing combinations.

Muthyampet and Dubbaka are small weaving clusters in the same district, which are characterised by their extra dobby thread over the ikat tie-dye patterns, and lovely unique checkered borders.
