Vibrant and festive chilli red Uppada-Jamdani silk with silver dollar motifs inlaid in Jamdani style. The pallu is simple with the same motifs. The border is made of tissue silk, keeping the saree very light weight.
This makes the saree as light as a Chanderi, but better and longer lasting because this is pure silk.
The laborious technique of Jamdani involves lifting the warp and then looping the thread or zari in, every thread of vibrant colours meticulously, painstakingly and perfectly woven into place.
