White Lotus - Handwoven Gadwal cotton with silk kuttu border

‘White Lotus’ is an authentic handwoven Gadwal with a pristine white cotton body and silk ‘Ganga-Jamuna’ border of black and red. 

The border and pallu are in pure silk attached to the separately woven cotton body of the saree using the 'kuttu' technique.

Doesn't come with a blouse.

These sarees, once the hallmark of Gadwal weaving technique, have become a rarity. It took us four trips and a mammoth effort to find them! Weavers tell us that it is hard to find labour for this specific technique.
